Payment

What are the ways an affiliate can earn commissions in your program?
An affiliate can earn commissions through our cost per click campaign. The TripAdvisor™ commerce click program pays a fifty percent (50%) revenue share of commerce click rates. A commerce click occurs when a visitor goes to an authorized TripAdvisor™ page and then subsequently clicks on a sponsored link.

How often do affiliates get paid?
When your generated account revenue exceeds $100, a monthly payment is sent to your address. If you do not reach the $100 minimum within a month, the amount generated is carried forward to the next month. You can view your sales statistics on our web site throughout the month to see your progress.

Reporting and Tracking

Does the TripAdvisor™ program offer reporting tools for affiliates?
Yes, our advanced affiliate management system gives you a wealth of information about your progress including number of clicks, number of commerce clicks, total revenue generated, commissions, and more.

How frequently are my statistics updated in your reporting tool?
Our affiliate management system reports your clicks using real-time tracking. Your sales and commissions, however, are based off of sponsored clicks ("commerce clicks") being generated. All sales and commissions are updated daily, but with a one-day calculation period. Information for any particular day will be available to view in your reporting the following day by 5pm EST. Activity from the weekend is typically updated by 5pm EST on Monday.

How will you know that clicks came from my site?
All affiliate links from your site to TripAdvisor™ contain a unique identifier to credit your account when a qualifying commerce click is made.

If I have numerous sites, can I track them separately?
Currently, affiliates can place links on numerous sites, but all clicks will be tracked together. We hope to introduce separate tracking capabilities in the near future.
